Fixing common problems
Section titled “Fixing common problems”- Too much room, the words get lost. Lower Space or shorten Span. The Breeze knob still adds brightness and warmth.
- Too bright or harsh, sibilants stick out. Lower Crisp.
- The vocal distorts or sounds dirty. Lower Heat, or switch HEAT off.
- Louder with Breeze than without. Bring the output fader down until the level matches with Breeze bypassed.
- Capture made a strange choice. Run it again on a louder, more typical part of the vocal.
Workflow tips
Section titled “Workflow tips”- Run CAPTURE again when the singer or the part changes.
- Automate the Breeze knob: a little in the verse, more in the chorus. See Automation & MIDI control.
- Breeze works on any vocal-like source: backing vocals, choirs, spoken word, even lead synths.
