The long CAPTURE bar at the top.

  1. Play your vocal in the DAW (a typical part, not silence or a breath).
  2. Click CAPTURE. A short animation shows that Breeze is listening.
  3. After about four seconds Breeze sets itself up for this voice.

Capture looks at how bright, how dense and how busy the vocal is. From that it sets the length and character of the room (Span), and how far Crisp and Heat may go. If the Breeze knob or Space were very low, it raises them a little so you can hear the result right away.

Capture is a starting point, not a final setting. Everything it sets can be changed by hand afterwards. Run it again whenever you switch to a different singer or a different vocal part.

The big knob in the middle is the heart of the plugin. One knob moves three stages at once:

  • the room (how much Space you hear),
  • the brightness (how much Crisp),
  • the saturation (how much Heat).

At 0 % Breeze is clean (only Makeup works). Turning it right brings all three in together, from a subtle polish to a full, obvious effect. The animated background in the knob shows that the effect is working.

How the Elements limit it: each of the three Element knobs sets the maximum the Breeze knob can reach for that stage. The small dots around an Element knob show where it actually is right now. Example: with Space at 50 % and the Breeze knob at 50 %, the room is at 25 %.

The five knobs under ELEMENTS, one per stage of the chain.

The amount of room around the voice, up to the level you set here. The Breeze knob moves the actual amount between zero and this maximum. Turn Space down if you want brightness and saturation from the Breeze knob but a dry vocal.

The length of the room: how long the reverb tail rings after the voice, up to about 6 seconds. Short for rap and fast lines, long for ballads and big, held notes. Capture sets Span for you, and you can fine-tune it here. (Span shows up as Depth in your DAW.)

The big knob in the Elements row. A glue compressor with makeup gain: turning it up compresses the vocal harder and lifts its level at the same time. The voice gets denser, more even and more upfront. Makeup does not follow the Breeze knob: it works on its own.

Brightness. Crisp tilts the tone of the vocal: it lifts the top end and pulls the low end down at the same time, up to 12 dB. More Crisp means more air and clarity, so the voice cuts through the mix. The Breeze knob moves the actual amount up to this maximum. (Crisp shows up as Tone in your DAW.)

Warm, analog-style saturation, powered by a neural network model. It adds harmonics, thickness and a bit of grit. The knob sets how far the Breeze knob may drive it. (Heat shows up as Amp in your DAW.)

The small HEAT switch under the knob turns the saturation stage on or off completely.

The tall meters on the left and right edges show the output level. The fader on the meters sets the output level of the plugin. Use it to match the loudness with Breeze bypassed, so you judge the sound and not the volume.

The icon in the middle of the bottom bar switches between a smaller and a larger window. The KARANYI SOUNDS logo on the left opens our website.
