Automation & MIDI control

Cloudmax Breeze shows 8 of its controls to your DAW. These are called automation parameters. You can use them in two ways:

  • Automation: your DAW moves a control for you at the right moment in the song. For example, more Breeze in the chorus, less in the verse.
  • MIDI control: you move a control with a knob or fader on your MIDI controller.

The quickest way in every DAW: move the control in Breeze. Most DAWs remember the last control you touched and offer it for automation straight away.

Ableton Live: press A in the Arrangement view, pick Cloudmax Breeze and the parameter in the automation lane, then draw the curve or record it with Automation Arm.

Logic Pro: press A, choose Cloudmax Breeze and the parameter in the lane’s menu, then draw the curve or use Latch or Touch mode.

Other DAWs work the same way: open the track’s automation, choose Cloudmax Breeze, pick the parameter.

Ableton Live: show the device parameters with the small triangle in the device title bar, press ⌘ + M (Mac) or Ctrl + M (Windows), click the parameter, move your controller, press the shortcut again.

Logic Pro: move the control in Breeze, press ⌘ + L, move your controller, press ⌘ + L again.

Other DAWs usually call this MIDI Learn.

The names below are exactly what your DAW shows. Some of them differ from the labels on the plugin.
